SUSTAINER REPRESENTATIVE : ASHLEY ASHWANDER
I am a proud Decatur native and excited to be back with League for one year! I graduated from Decatur High School in 1999 and Auburn University in 2003, where I was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. Upon graduation, I moved to Nashville and soon began dating Charlie Ashwander, also a Decatur native. We both eventually moved to Birmingham due to jobs, then married in 2005. When I learned that The Paper Chase was for sale in 2007, we quickly decided to purchase the store and move back to Decatur… we have loved being “home!” We have two girls, Katherine “Kitty” (6.5) and Frances (1.5) and a Westie, Pearl. We just celebrated the 10th anniversary of our ownership of the store (party will be held soon!) and over the last few years, I have become busy with wedding planning and direction through The Paper Chase Weddings. I love being involved with the Downtown Decatur Merchants and Business Association, Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation and The Power of Pink, and the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce.
