COMMUNITY IMPACT
The Junior League of Morgan County's (JLMC) fundraising efforts currently benefit our 2022-2023 Signature Project with The Morgan County Child Advocacy Center as well as PACT (Parents And Children Together ) and a Hygiene Kit program for Clothe our Kids. The Junior League will provide funds through fundraising endeavors in the amount of $5,500 for the CAC to purchase child-friendly and appropriate toys, coloring books, and active materials to create a more therapeutic, child-friendly waiting area for patients and families. JLMC will also provide funds to add family/child-friendly furniture and décor to the waiting rooms.

PARENTS AND CHILDREN TOGETHER (PACT)
Founded in 1978 with tremendous help from The Junior League of Morgan County, Parents and Children Together (PACT) is a premier Family Resource Center that serves over 10,000 individuals each year.
The mission of PACT is to prevent child abuse and neglect in Morgan County by supporting children and their families through parent education, direct services, public awareness, and school based-programs, all of which are free to any community resident. JLMC furthers this mission by offering annual financial support.
For the 2021-2022 League year, JLMC was able to make a donation of $10,000 to PACT. Also in 2021-2022, it's first year of supporting a hygiene kit program, JLMC was able to fundraise to purchase and collect through item donations to package 300 full size product hygiene kits. These kits are distributed with each clothing request from various programs to help children of all ages in the community.

DONE IN A DAY EVENTS
The Junior League of Morgan County is looking forward to making an impact again in our community this year through the volunteer hours and energy provided by our members. All Active JLMC members are required to justify their membership in the League by participating in approximately 30 hours of some form of volunteer service. To appropriately fulfill these hours, JLMC members complete Done In A Day events (DIADs) during the course of the JLMC year (August-May).
JLMC had made their presence known throughout the community by participating in all of the fun and hard work of The Decatur Morgan Hospital Power of Pink Walk, Jaycees Riverfest, Hartselle Depot Days, FACES Comfort Bag Assembly, The Community Free Clinic Oyster Shells and Fish Tails, The Decatur Historic Christmas Tour, The Decatur Morgan Hospital Dragonboat Festival, 3rd Fridays in Downtown Decatur and many more.
We seek volunteer opportunities with other community partners whose event/project compliments the Mission Statement of the Junior League and who share a passion for improving the lives of those in Morgan County.
