| president: RACHEL KEENUMRachel lives in Hartselle, AL with her husband Bryan, their three cats, and a bunny. She is an Occupational Therapy Assistant and has been working in pediatrics for the past 8 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and reading. Her favorite thing about Junior League has been meeting new friends and giving back to her community. |
| VICE-PRESIDENT: LEA JOHNSON Lea Johnson is originally from Vinemont but has proudly called Hartselle home for the past seven years. She is devoted mom who works as a Billing Specialist at Innova Primary Care. Outside of work and Junior League, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending quality time with her family. Lea’s favorite part of being a member of the Junior League of Morgan County is the opportunity to give back to her community in such a meaningful way while building lifelong friendships along the way. She believes that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference, and there is no greater joy for her than knowing she has helped make someone smile. Lea is grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside an incredible group of women and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact throughout Morgan County. |
| VP OF FUNDRAISING: CHRISTY PAQUAY Christie Paquay is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and has called North Alabama home for several years. She has been a member of JLMC since 2023. Christie loves connecting with people, staying organized, and planning events, and she looks forward to helping create meaningful experiences for the community. In her free time, Christie enjoys making personalized crafts, catching movies with friends, and cheering on her niece and nephews in everything they do. What she loves most about JLMC is the chance to build friendships while working together to make a positive impact in Morgan County. She hopes to bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a fresh perspective to the League this year. |
| TREASURER: KATHLEEN PALMER Kathleen Palmer has lived in Priceville for five years with her husband, and now their two children. She is a Maryland native and went to Clemson University before moving to Alabama for her first job. She is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and has worked in the NICU for more than 13 years. When she’s not working, you can find her outside with her little ones or exploring the local kids museums. Kathleen joined Junior League to meet new people and to have more opportunities to make a difference in her community. |
| Secretary: BETHANY BROWNBethany is excited to serve as Secretary for the Junior League of Morgan County. Professionally, she works as a Senior Chemist and Stability Coordinator, bringing a detailed and organized approach to keeping the League’s administration running smoothly. Outside of work and community service, Bethany loves serving at her church, dancing, discovering local coffee spots, and spending quality time with her husband, family, friends, their cat, and especially her brother, who has special needs. She looks forward to a fantastic year of impact, growth, and connection across the League! |
